In a remote future, near the end of time, Balthar, the last human being, goes through his notes on situations experienced by various characters at different stages of the history of the Universe. Like him, they once asked themselves whether chaos could be stopped, whether the work of death could be halted or contained.
The same question across millions of years, and all the stories written in the pages of the Diary of the Last Man.
